Is the website address of my professional website, it is a work in progress and I am going to try and make it clean, easy to navigate, and I want to include a downloadeable copy of my CV, some of my recent work, and a mission statement, plus a contact table, so people viewing my website can get in touch.
Some website designs I like are:
This is the website <http://www.27bslash6.com/> whilst the material is not a professional website, the design is what I am aiming for with my final piece, I like the clean concise nature of the design and I like the colour themes and easy navigation of the website
This is a website for a musician who designed her own website and does most of her own self promotion, the design is always clean and is currently themed to promote her new album, so the colour scheme has changed to mirror that of the album artwork. I think that this is a smart and I like the plain colour scheme focussing on two main colours.
This is the design I have chosen for my website, because of my lack of graphic design knowledge I wanted to keep the design limited to one simple idea which I will use across all of my promotional platforms, which is the wood grain, and I kept the actual website as simple as possible. I have included a short bio, a downloadable PDF of my CV, so that potential clients can simply access it, I have also included a contact page with a link to my vimeo profile, my twitter handle and my email, so that if people want to contact me further they can. On the my work page, my most recent video is featured, so that viewers of the website can see what I'm about professional work wise.
Website designs that are not good:
This website is not professional looking because the design is simple, and looks out dated, the choice of colours are reminiscent of websites designed 10 years ago. It lacks any navigatable pages and would be unacceptable as a promotional website because of the design and the lack of information
