Business Cards

I just designed and ordered business cards from moo.com, I decided to put on the business cards, my telephone number, twitter and website, on the cards the font used was Helvetica Light, so that is the font I am going to use in the rest of my project. The back of the business cards is the image I plan on using as a familiar image across all of my professional websites and other platforms. It is a stock image of woodgrain that I have photoshopped

Here are some examples of business cards that inspired me:
I like the first one because of the simple colour scheme. They have chosen one colour, and used it across the cards. There is only one colour used and it is a nice simple design. I liked the plainness of this second one, and the simple designs, I wanted to have a few colours as possible and have the design as simple as possible. I think it is impossible to have as simple a business cards as possible, with plain clearly stated details. I made sure all of my details were left aligned because I didn't want the card looking messy.

I also mocked up a different business card design with the back side blank, but it was a bit to plain on the side without any image on the other side, so keeping the designs I researched in mind I decided on the final design of having the image on the back side and the information on it's own on the front side
